《英语课程标准》规定的我国基础教育阶段,英语教育的总体目标是“培养学生的综合语言运用能力”,教学应该服从这个总体目标。教学必须要面向全体学生,注重每位学生的发展,注重素质教育,素质教育的推进和新课程标准的实施都在培养学生掌握知识、技能的综合能力,而传统的教学忽视了学生的个性发展和知识的内在联系,新课标主要是让学生主动参与,培养学生学习能力,在有限的时间内掌握更多的知识,提高学习效率。学习英语,学生本身是真正的学习主人,假如学生不愿意学习那么再优秀的教师也是教不会的。
预习是培养学生独立获得新知识的前提,也是提高听课效率的可靠依据,预习可以使学生初步对教材的理解,发现重点、难点和疑点,找出自己对新教材的不了解之处,为听课作好充分的思想准备。
作为一所农村中学,我们的学生有本地小学升上来的学生,从小学1年级就开始学英语,而且学得很好的;有学得了解点皮毛的;有学得很差的;还有一半的学生是来自外来民工子弟学校的或外省的。他们的英语层次参差不齐,给我们的英语教学带来相当大的难度。因此要想让每个同学在课堂上动起来,提高课堂效率,课前的预习是必不可少的。通过预习学生能为课堂学习做好了思想准备,而且让他们获得了课堂学习的主动权,可使他们简单地了解老师将讲的内容梗概,以便听课时能更快进入老师创设的教学情景,甚至还能回答老师的提问,使他们获得成功的体验,树立了自信心,从而激起学习兴趣,提高学习效率,形成良好的学习习惯。牛津英语主要以单元为单位进行编排的,所以我们主要进行如何提高农村中学学生主题性单元预习效率的行动研究。
著名教育家叶圣陶先生曾说:“学生通过预习,自己阅读课文,动了天君,得到理解,当讨论的时候,见到自己的理解与讨论的结果正相吻合,便有独创成功的快感;或者见到自己的理解与讨论结果不相吻合,就作比量短长的思索;并且预习的时候绝不会没有困惑,困惑而没法解决,到讨论的时候就集中了追求解决的注意力。这种快感、思索与注意力,足以鼓动阅读的兴趣,增进阅读的效果,有很高的价值。”这是对预习重要性的精辟阐述。由此可见,预习可以使学生在上课之前明白要学内容的难点、疑点所在,帮助自己发现知识的缺陷,如能及时查漏补缺,便可跟上学习进度,为取得学习的成功创造了条件。其次,预习可以唤醒认知的原有图式,温故而知新,提高新旧知识的融会贯通能力。第三,预习能明显提高听课效率。通过预习,学生不仅明白了要学的大致内容,容易融入老师的教学思路,而且会带着一些疑难问题听课,探究的目的性更强。
可是,由于我校是一所农村初级中学,教学设施的限制,学生英语水平存在较大的差异性,学生在英语预习过程中往往缺乏目的性,任务性,会出现不知如何着手,离题,或超出自己能力范围,完不成等等问题。对此,我们学校英语教研组顺应《新课改》要求,因地制宜,从本校实际条件出发,立足于我们的学生,对“提高农村中学学生英语主题性单元预习效率”进行研究。
为避免学生在预习过程中的盲目性,提高学生的主题性单元预习的效率,我们教师应根据《教学大纲》,牛津英语课本的编排特点,以单元为单位,给出每单元的预习任务,如找出本单元的知识点,即该单元的中心内容;文化背景;明确本单元的知识内容;找出本单元的疑、重、难点。对学生的预习进行科学的指导,优化学生的预习过程,使学生在日积月累的长期实践中得到“自求得知”的锻炼,形成良好的预习习惯和自学能力,促进其更好的发展。
1在实践中进行反思,收集相关资料、数据并加以分析。该方法适用于课题研究的准备阶段与实施阶段。
2.文献法:通过对《教育学》、《教育心理学》、《教育行为学》、《中小学新课程标准》等相关文献的研究,以此奠定理论基础,了解同类课题的现状,提供借鉴。为创新性研究提供理论依据。该方法适用于课题研究的准备阶段与实施阶段。
3.个案研究法:针对个别学生在预习中遇到的问题进行个案研究,制定有效的措施,实施教育。该方法适用于课题研究的实施阶段。
4.经验筛选法。搜集、整理课题研究材料,筛选有用的,剔除无用的,然后把有用的材料集中起来进行总结、提炼。该方法适用于课题研究的总结阶段。

提高农村中学学生英语主题性单元预习效率的行动研究
《英语课程标准》规定的我国基础教育阶段,英语教育的总体目标是“培养学生的综合语言运用能力”,教学应该服从这个总体目标。教学必须要面向全体学生,注重每位学生的发展,注重素质教育,素质教育的推进和新课程标准的实施都在培养学生掌握知识、技能的综合能力,而传统的教学忽视了学生的个性发展和知识的内在联系,新课标主要是让学生主动参与,培养学生学习能力,在有限的时间内掌握更多的知识,提高学习效率。学习英语,学生本身是真正的学习主人,假如学生不愿意学习那么再优秀的教师也是教不会的。
预习是培养学生独立获得新知识的前提,也是提高听课效率的可靠依据,预习可以使学生初步对教材的理解,发现重点、难点和疑点,找出自己对新教材的不了解之处,为听课作好充分的思想准备。
作为一所农村中学,我们的学生有本地小学升上来的学生,从小学1年级就开始学英语,而且学得很好的;有学得了解点皮毛的;有学得很差的;还有一半的学生是来自外来民工子弟学校的或外省的。他们的英语层次参差不齐,给我们的英语教学带来相当大的难度。因此要想让每个同学在课堂上动起来,提高课堂效率,课前的预习是必不可少的。通过预习学生能为课堂学习做好了思想准备,而且让他们获得了课堂学习的主动权,可使他们简单地了解老师将讲的内容梗概,以便听课时能更快进入老师创设的教学情景,甚至还能回答老师的提问,使他们获得成功的体验,树立了自信心,从而激起学习兴趣,提高学习效率,形成良好的学习习惯。牛津英语主要以单元为单位进行编排的,所以我们主要进行如何提高农村中学学生主题性单元预习效率的行动研究。

(二)英语预习效率的提高,从而提高了课堂效率,学生的英语成绩也随之有了很大进步。因此,我校的英语成绩能在农村中学中名列前茅。初三选出的6个同学参加苏州市中学生英语能力竞赛,均取得优异的成绩,其中钱雪丽获得二等奖,其余5人潘晨、肖茜一、严子凡均获得三等奖。姚云娟老师,张瑾老师,汪永康老师获得“优秀辅导奖”。姚云娟利用预习学案上的一节校级评优课获文科组二等奖。姚云娟老师用预习学案上的一节市级公开课也获得了优秀等第。在课题研究过程中,五位老师都认真编写预习学案,撰写教学案例及论文,积极投稿。姚云娟老师的案例《哦用爱心唤醒学生的学习能动性》获市级中学组二等奖。

课题研究反思:
(1)在整个课题研究中,对评价机制的研究还显得非常的单薄。没有形成一个初步的针对预习作业完成情况和课堂交流的评价体系。尤其是课堂中对预习作业的交流效果的评价更显得不足。这也可以作为这个研究的下一步重点。
(2)在研究课题开展的过程中,对英语预习学案单元性体现还不够,学案的结构,内容还有待完善。
(3)在研究课题开展的过程中,虽然有大部分学生认识到预习对自己英语学习的作用,并且能够比较认真地完成和交流预习作业,但是还是存在一部分学生始终不能很好地完成预习作业,有一定的消极情绪。这一点在研究过程中已经发现,但是却没有找到比较好的方法去解决这一问题,投入的精力不够,对这部分学生的关注也还不够。这是自己在研究过程中做得不太好的地方。
(4)在研究课题开展的过程中,对相关的理论学习还不到位,无法把理论和实践所得到的经验有效地以论文形式展性。
