Sitestat is a domain used in support of
Digital Analytix, a Web Analytics platform for services provided by comScore,
In short, Web Analytics is the
measurement, collection, analysis and reporting of internet data, primarily for
the purpose of understanding web usage.
comScore client elects to use Digital Analytix to measure their online “events”
- which may include the client’s websites, video or audio streams, video or
audio players, or other web-based objects - the client would embed a “tag” in
the event.
If you, as a visitor or user
of such an event (hereinafter &user&), interact with the website,
stream or player, the tag causes your visit or use to be measured.
This measurement is then sent to comScore,
where it is aggregated with other measurements and reported back to the client.
measurements collected by comScore are referred to in this privacy policy as
information, including personal information, is collected?
Analytix will collect the IP-addresses of users, however, the comScore client
who has implemented Digital Analytix has the option to have IP-addresses
partially destroyed.& If the client avails itself of this option, the
destruction is usually implemented by removing portions or the entirety of the
last octet from the IP-address before the data is further processed.
Additionally,
if available, cookies and device or network specific identifiers, are processed
by Digital Analytix for the sole purpose of recognizing returning users.

image request to our measurement servers. This request informs us whether there
is a Sitestat cookie on the visitor’s computer.
If there isn’t,
we will set a cookie, containing a uniquely generated static number. It may
additionally contain a number indicating which version of the online event has
been shown to that particular browser and when.
If there is, the
browser sends it along with the next request, enabling us to report that this
is a returning browser.

contain personal data, Digital Analytix cookies do not. Digital Analytix
cookies have a validity of 13 months.

Who Manchester United should opt for in their centre-back huntBy Tyrone Webb-McGarthland& & &As the January transfer window opens rumours begin to circle and speculation about big money moves surround clubs who are looking to strengthen or improve their financial situation.However, for Manchester United who they are targeting is nothing to do with the money its to do with solving one problem that has been cursing them all season C central defence.Manager Louis van Gaal came into the club in the summer and despite having over ￡100million to spend, only brought in Marcos Rojo as a centre-back with Luke Shaw following him from Southampton. The pair have settled in well and so far have helped United climb into third position in the league but the weaknesses are still present.For many years it was Nemanja Vidic and Rio Ferdinand at the back for United and the pair were the most solid partnership in Europe, guiding United to numerous Premier League titles and a Champions League crown in 2008. However, since the departure of the pair this year United have never looked steady and their current replacements Chris Smalling, Jonny Evans and Phil Jones keep picking up injuries C something the former pair rarely did.You could say its the change of methods with Van Gaal opting for a strict approach while Sir Alex Ferguson was always sticking to the same regime. But nonetheless, they’re professionals and on such a high wage they should be able to cope with the difficulties that get thrown their way.Manchester United have conceded 20 goals this season (PL)So far United have been reliant on their attack in winning games while their goalkeeper David De Gea has been the star of the show in helping the side secure points against Everton, Stoke City, Liverpool, Arsenal and Chelsea. Like Van Gaal said goalkeepers are meant to save shots but in the way De Gea goes about his business he has let the defenders off with far more criticism than they should have received.And now with the January transfer window open changes could be made but the Dutch boss has already said that won’t happen until the summer. United are expected to finish in the top four which will give the boss big funds and that has lead us to comparing four defenders the Red Devils could purchase come the start of the 2015/16 campaign.Mats HummelsFirst of all is Mats Hummels who has been linked with the club for a number of years. The Borussia Dortmund defender has been highly regarded by many top coaches around the world but this season he hasn’t been on top form with his club side currently in the relegation zone. Dortmund are normally challengers for the German title but that hasn’t occurred at all despite the side looking strong in Europe. Hummels is still in his prime and with age (26) on his side he can only improve as the years go on.Proven defender with a World Cup winners medal C available at ￡30millionRaphael VaraneThe 21 year-old is one of the best youngsters in world football and its no surprise that he has already captained his international side.It was a huge call to hand him the armband but he thrived, scoring during the game and outlining his credentials to be a potential 100-cap French star. Varane is currently at Real Madrid and each day is learning under Italian boss Carlo Ancelotti. That can only be good for his game and with his inclusion in the starting XI alongside Pepe and Sergio Ramos, the defender is on the right path.However, his future at the club is not yet settled with his ability warranting him a starting place each week. He doesn’t always get that but at United he would C especially with Van Gaal a huge admirer of his.Price C ￡19million (rumoured)Comparison 1: Hummels C Varane C Miranda C GodinMiranda&Out of the quartet Miranda is the less likely option with his 30 years of age not appealing to many clubs. He still has a few years at the top level but with the ￡20million asking price Atletico Madrid are asking for it could be a poor move.The Brazilian international is a top defender and his partnership alongside Diego Godin was the best in Europe last year with the La Liga outfit reaching the Champions League final and winning the Spanish title. However, injuries have come into play this season and Miranda isn’t quite looking his usual self.. just yet.He is expected to improve with more games but with Atletico looking to sell in the summer with Diego Simeone planning for the future, United would hope they can lower their demands.Diego GodinThe 28 year-old is currently at the top of his game and he is leading the Atletico revival after some recent blips. Currently the captain of Uruguay, Godin has made his presence felt with commanding performances at the back while scoring goals C like Chelsea’s John Terry.He is dominant in the air and shows great leadership skills which United are currently missing since Vidic departed. One thing however is his lack of pace but partnered with Phil Jones or Chris Smalling and he could become an important figure of Van Gaal’s side with his ability to play in back three or back four.Price C ￡28millionComparison 2: Hummels C Varane C Miranda C GodinComparing the four and they all have their aspects of being worthy signings. Mats Hummels has won the most tackles with 1.98 per game while Godin has won the most aerial duels with a terrific success rate of 75%. That’s one of the highest across Europe and as seen with United’s latest result against Stoke, more physicality is needed.Varane has the pace of the quartet but with Smalling and Jones already providing that it could be a sidewards step. He has the best ball control though and with that comes the ability to pass which Van Gaal does like. However, most top sides have someone dominant like Vincent Kompany (Man City) and Terry (Chelsea) and that is what United need if they are to compete at the top level C something Varane isn’t right now.So if you were to pick two ideal signings right now it would have to be Hummels or Godin. Both are experienced and would bring that big name fear with them. Both are the most physical as seen on the stats but one key stand out is Godin’s fitness record. He has played the most games this season and over the last few years has been fit throughout. That is important especially in England with regular games and that could stick out to Van GaalUnited have the funds for Godin and with the completion of Radamel Falcao expected and a new winger, United could make three big signings to complete what is an ever improving squad.
